Pomegranate

Next, we see Christ portrayed as a pomegranate, expressing the abundance and beauty of the divine life. (Witness Lee, All-Inclusive Christ, 60) Pomegranates are filled with seeds, each covered by a beautiful red seed coat that is sweet to the taste. An opened pomegranate is thus a display of rich life. Similarly, when we open to the Lord and experience Him, we also manifest the attractive riches of His abundant life (2 Cor. 4:10-11). The expression of the fallen human life inherited from Adam is dismal and cursed. A living that is in Christ, however, is blessed and beautiful (Matt. 5).
